Irish. Opinionated. Built to be optional.
Vartry is an alternative legal service provider headquartered in Ireland. We combine specialist capacity with a decision intelligence platform that captures the institutional knowledge most organisations don't realise they're losing.
Why we exist
Why we exist.
Most organisations solve capacity problems by hiring more people or buying more software. Neither captures the reasoning behind the decisions those people make. When they leave — and they always leave — the organisation loses years of accumulated judgement and starts over.
Vartry exists because that cycle is broken. We provide the people and the technology, and we capture the intelligence that emerges from the work. The intelligence belongs to the client. Always.
What we believe
Four convictions.
Renewals should be earned.
If a client stays because switching is painful, we've failed. If they stay because we're the best option, we've succeeded. We design every engagement so walking away is easy.
Data sovereignty isn't a feature — it's a filter.
Your data stays in your jurisdiction, in your infrastructure, under your control. We don't host it, don't train on it, and don't retain it. This isn't a sales point. It's a hard constraint on every decision we make.
AI is an analyst, not an author.
AI briefs your people against playbooks, flags risks, and identifies patterns. It doesn't write your contracts or make your decisions. The human is the decision-maker. The AI makes them faster and better-informed.
Institutional knowledge is an asset, not a by-product.
Most organisations treat the reasoning behind decisions as disposable. We treat it as the most valuable thing in the building.
The name
The Vartry is a river in County Wicklow that feeds Dublin's water supply. Quiet, functional, and essential. Not glamorous. Just there when you need it.
